BEAM, in collaboration with the Astrophysics, Astronomy & Engineering Department of the AUTH Physics Department – AUTH Observatory, undertakes the implementation of a new project related to the development and design of a radio telescope!

Developing and utilizing appropriate data structures to handle operations on data with physical quantities

• Fundraising Executive
Developing fundraising strategies: Create and implement plans to secure funding
Finding sponsors: Identify and approach companies or individuals who can support our initiative
Building and maintaining relationships: Communicate and negotiate with potential sponsors and partners
Drafting sponsorship proposals: Prepare official proposals and presentations for sponsorships and partnerships
Monitoring financial goals: Manage the budget and ensure that financial targets are met
Team collaboration: Work with other team members to enhance the visibility and effectiveness of fundraising efforts
• Robotics Programmer
Design and programming for the management and control of stepper motors through ROS and Rust for the orientation of the radio telescope
Interfacing and programming Raspberry Pi for controlling stepper motors
Design and implementation of algorithms for precise and automated movement of the devices
Collaboration with the rest of the team to address technical challenges and optimize the system
• Robotics Hardware Engineer
Experience in electronic connections and wiring of equipment
Good knowledge of managing stepper motors and their drivers
Basic knowledge of Raspberry Pi and the use of GPIO pins for device interfacing
Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams
Previous hands-on experience with constructions will be considered an advantage
